Participant Feedback

"The Startup NZ Entrepreneurs Programme is a fantastic resource to understand the landscape and next steps to take. I have returned to this so often for guidance." - Justine, Hawkes Bay

"I've just completed your Startup NZ Entrepreneurs Programme, which has been fantastic thank you. I have the ideas but not the business knowledge, so it's really given me the confidence and understanding to turn my ideas into reality!" - Kirstin, New Plymouth

“I thought I knew a lot about how to start and run a business. This course got me back to the basics. Whilst I knew some content, putting it into perspective and having the content structured was great. I was able to reinforce my organisation and adjust what needed before moving on to next steps! Thanks Richard!” - Eponine, Christchurch

“I loved the course. I was in ideation stage when I started and now, a few months later we are preparing some finishing touches to a capital raise. The course gave me a great overview and it was a good balance between providing answers and asking me questions for which I needed to go and find the answers. I was definitely more aware of what I need to focus on as a founder as a result of the course. I already have recommended the course, and I will continue to do so.” - Adam, Rotorua

“I heard about the Startup NZ course through Business Mentors New Zealand. I found this course to be more helpful than a mentor at that stage. This course has fast-tracked my understanding in starting a business. I've studied two business courses before, and also have a mentor, but none of them was able to teach me the thorough, solid foundation that I need to get started - from the mindset, to research, launching and growing! The course has also helped me make informed decisions that would otherwise cost me a lot of money. And I think most importantly, this course and Richard made me believe that I can, and that makes a HUGE difference.” - Sharifa (Anne), Auckland

“Startup NZ is wonderful! I learnt so many new things about different aspects from people in the industry. I love your interviews with the local entrepreneurs who share the real experiences of their journey. I've been telling friends and family about Startup NZ.” - Linh

“I'm so thankful I was put in touch with the Startup NZ Entrepreneurs Program. I am starting a new business and feeling both nervous and excited about it. I thought it was just me that had niggling doubts about succeeding and that big "what if...?" question, but turns out this is normal and in fact expected! I was so relieved.” - Patricia

“Thoroughly enjoyed the Startup NZ Programme and it was very useful for me to begin my journey.” - Raymond

“Insightful strategy to help you build the business you actually really want. A must study!” - Vanessa

“So easy to follow and prompts a really important thought process for the learner!” - Jacqui

“Great course. Lots of really well organised and useful information. We have a relatively complex product we are developing but a lot of the suggestions and advice in your course clarified many issues.” - Mike, Warkworth

“Thank you very much for the excellent startup course, it has been an illuminating and educational resource which I'm sure I will repeatedly access in the coming months. It is difficult (or impossible!) to find such practical and relevant information in one place.” - Sheela

“I am really enjoying the Startup NZ Programme and clearly the benefits are working as I have become very busy in my business.” - Trish

“Your course is revolutionising my attitude towards money.” - Lauren

“The programme was excellent, so much to take in.” - Paul

“I really appreciated the simplicity of the key messages, very direct and not overly complicated with information overload.” - Catherine

“A great testing point for those who use excuses to hold themselves back from trying anything, resonated with me personally as I have worked hard on this area in particular.” - Ciaran

“The course is great, and we're getting a lot out of it. I particularly enjoyed the market validation section. We're doing the course slowly as we're running a business and in the process of launching another one. Thanks for putting such a great course together!” - Victoria

“It has been very informative. It certainly makes you think from every angle as to why one chooses entrepreneurship as a career path. It is certainly a must for anyone embarking on this journey.” - Geetha

“I have been enjoying the course and doing it little by little alongside work and university.” - Maggie

“I like how the course looks at the foundations to begin with - if the foundations in the mind aren't in place then anything beyond will never work. Absolutely love that!” - Lisa

“The first lesson stepped into my head and felt as though someone had my back to moving forward with business.” - Joleen

“Thorough explanations that are clear, concise and easy to understand.” - Danielle

“I feel so inspired and the vision is getting clearer on the direction I need to take to make my dream come true.” - Marcia

“Great examination and exploration of the personal reasons and motivations for being an entrepreneur that often are not addressed elsewhere.” - Grant

“I've read a lot about starting a business and being an entrepreneur, however going through this material presented it in a whole new way. It was great to truly understand what entrepreneurship is all about and it's not what you might think.” - Rachel

“Helpful and valuable information. Well presented. Easy to follow and understand. Thank you!” - Michelle

“Really enjoyed it (had a few laughs along the way!) and gave real food for thought - a real look at what it's like in the start up phases, the challenges one is likely to face and how to identify such as being very normal.” - Kelle

“Enabled me to sit down and begin to answer the hard questions that I've been avoiding in starting a business but also a nice introduction to begin to delve into the world of an entrepreneur.” - Marama

“Worthwhile if you’re not sure if you want to go into business, but have thought about it.” - Rohan

“Loved it! Richard details his presentation in such a clear and informative way. It has inspired me to think in ways I hadn't challenged myself on before.” - Nikki
